Distinguished School Award UPDATE
While most of us were enjoying the singing and dancing of our children at the awesome Variety Show on June 5, our wonderful Principal was in Anaheim receiving our Distinguished School award. Here is a picture of Nancy Bloom accepting our award along with OUSD Superintendent Tony Smith, as well as Maggie Rogers and Josie Levi, 2 of the parents who were instrumental in driving our successful application to completion. Also, here is a letter from US Senator Barbara Boxer congratulating our school for this award.
It is EASY Being Green
Check out our new Green page here. The school's new Green Team focuses on encouraging environmentally sustainable practices both at the school and at home. The team includes existing programs such as the Garden Committee, the Walk and Roll to school efforts and the school's recycling program.
WHY ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Think skipping a day of school is no big deal? Think again. Principal Nancy Bloom explains why it's crucial, both for academic excellence and for school support, for kids to be in their seats each day. Read more. Check out our new attendance page.
